Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the International Policy Review ("IPR") platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

IPR is a student-led policy journal that provides a platform for:

  • Submitting applications to become a writer or editor
  • Managing the editorial workflow for policy papers
  • Facilitating feedback and collaboration between writers and editors
  • Publishing and distributing policy analysis

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. User Content

Submissions

By submitting content (applications, papers, feedback), you grant IPR a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purposes of operating and promoting the journal.

Original Work

You represent that your submissions are your original work and do not infringe on any third-party rights. Plagiarism or academic dishonesty will result in removal from the platform.

AI Declaration

You must disclose any use of AI tools in creating your submissions as part of our submission checklist.

5. Membership and Fees

Selected writers may be required to pay a membership fee of EUR 25 to cover operational costs. Partner university students may be exempt from this fee. Fees are non-refundable except as specified in the commitment letter.

6. Commitment Letter

Writers and editors must sign a commitment letter agreeing to:

  • Meet assigned deadlines
  • Maintain communication with their team
  • Adhere to editorial guidelines
  • Complete assigned work or face potential removal

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit plagiarized or falsified content
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Interfere with the platform's operation
  • Harass or discriminate against other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

9. Limitation of Liability

IPR is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, except where required by applicable law.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Madrid, Spain.
